Three Months Old!
I can't believe that Sara is three months old already, it's gone by fast! She's changed a lot. When she was first born she looked Native American because she had red skin and black hair. Her hair is still black and so far her eyes are still blue but her skin has lightened up. I love her long curly eyelashes. When she was born I thought it was too bad that she hardly had any eyelashes and Tyler's are long and curly. She's getting a bald spot on the back of her head and it looks funny because the rest of her hair is so long. She also smiles a lot!

Wedding

On Friday September 19th, Tyler, Sara and I headed down to Provo, UT with my dad to go to Scott & Cat Smith's wedding reception. I was really excited to go because when I was growing up the Smith's were like my second family and I've missed being around them since we moved to Idaho. I get jealous when Jon tells me that he's got to spend time with them in Provo.
On Friday night we took Jon out to dinner to celebrate his birthday. Tyler was sure excited to see him! On Saturday night we went to the reception and it was so much fun to see everyone! It was great to meet Cat and her family. Scott and Cat seem really happy. Of course, since this was a Smith party, the food was excellent!
On Sunday morning we left for Boise. I was pleasantly surprised with how well Tyler and Sara did on the trip. Tyler loves hanging out with Grandpa and Jon and he got to ride in Grandpa's truck, so he had a good time. And Sara was good as long as she didn't think I was trying to starve her.
Naps
I've always been a huge fan of naps, especially now that we have two kids. When I'm pregnant I get really tired. When I was pregnant with Tyler it was easy because I could just take a nap whenever I wanted. Being pregnant with Sara wore me out more because I could only take a nap when Tyler took one. Every day I would really look forward to my nap and I'd be ornery if I didn't get one. Once Sara was born I was still able to take a nap because she would sleep when Tyler did. That's not the case anymore!! Now they tag team so I can't get a nap. This is what usually happens... Tyler will go down for a nap and I'll spend about a half hour doing things or cleaning up then I'll go lay down. This is Sara's cue to wake up hungry. While I'm feeding her I try not to look at the clock and I keep hoping that she'll just fall asleep while she's eating. This, of course, does not happen and she stays up for the next few hours. Once Tyler wakes up Sara usually falls asleep in about 10 minutes. Even though I'm pretty disappointed with my foreseeable lack of naps in the future, I really don't have much to complain about. Sara has been sleeping through the night for a little while and that definitely helps!

He's Home!!
On Wednesday, Paul left to go to Utah for his uncle's funeral (that also happened to be the same day that I got this bad cold) and he came home on Sunday! I had some ideas of things I could get done and fun things I could do with the kids while he was gone, but since I really wasn't feeling good we didn't do much. Paul's trip was good and we survived. Here are some things that happened while he was gone.
Tyler likes to wear my bike helmet and shoes.

Tyler is fascinated with trying to hold Sara. She doesn't seem to like it very much.

Tyler's bear and duck were sleeping so he tucked them in with his blanket and gave them some water :)
